Lufthansa Services (Thailand) Ltd. is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. When we collect personal data, we are obliged legally to provide you with certain information, it is called the “Right to be Informed”.  That information is contained in the below Notice.

This privacy notice explains how we use your data in relation to your attendance to an event, meeting, conference organized by Lufthansa Services (Thailand) Ltd. Occasionally you may be asked if you would like to stay in touch with us and consent for your personal details to be retained and used to communicate with you (in accordance with your stated preferences).

The personal data we process will be:

The information you provide in the form to register for an event or by other means such as in an email or over the telephone:

  • your title, name, and full address, email or telephone contact details;
  • your job title and role;
  • dietary needs.

For certain events we collect biographical information about you from publicly available sources and this may include photographs. This information will be provided to the host(s) to help with the flow of the event.

Records of communications sent to you by the company or that we receive from you in relation to an event you will attend/have attended.

In particular, for the photo taken during the Event, in case you do not want your photo taken, please feel free to refuse. It should also be noted that for the ease in downloading for personal use of each participant, the photo taken during the Event will be placed in the shared folder. In case you access the photo of any person, please kindly respect the privacy and rights of the relevant data subject and not use those photos for the illegal purposes that may cause negative impact on the data subject.

When using video conferencing applications such as Microsoft Teams, your name, user name, email address, your computer’s IP address, MAC address and device name may be collected.

We use our registration process to collect personal data that you directly input into our registration forms, as well as in any other method we set up as an event organizer. This data is collected by us and we process it in performance of a contract with you (your event registration) as well as in our legitimate interests to manage the Event and contact you as follows:

  • Manage our event attendees
  • Contact you about the event
  • Run statistics about the event

If we serve food at any of our events, we may ask you about possible food allergies or special dietary requirements. This data is used solely for the purposes of catering during the events and the provision of this data is optional. If the data collected on food allergies or special dietary requirements is considered as medical data, the consent you give constitutes the necessary legal basis for processing of this data. In all other cases, we process this data based on your consent as the purpose of processing is to make your participation in our events as comfortable as possible.

We reserve the right to process and retain your personal data within the following timeframe:

  • throughout period of time necessary for the event arrangement, for the audit and reporting purposes;
  • throughout the time prescribed under the laws we shall be subject to, in particular during the tax and audit period.

Information that we collect relating to your dietary and accessibility requirements will be deleted after the event.

You can request access to the information we process about you at any time. If at any point you believe that the information, we process relating to you is incorrect, you can request to see this information and may in some instances request to have it restricted, corrected or, erased. You may also have the right to object to the processing of data and the right to data portability.

As we are also using ‘Consent’ as the legal basis to process your personal data, you also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
