Privacy notice – job candidates

Lufthansa Services Thailand is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. When we collect personal data, we are obliged legally to provide you with certain information, it is called the “Right to be Informed”. That information is contained in the below Notice. If any of the information we provide to you is not clear enough, there is a contact detail for Lufthansa Services Thailand’s data protection team further down this Notice. When you apply for a job at Lufthansa Services (Thailand) Ltd., we will ask you to provide us with personal data about yourself so we can evaluate your application. If this data is not provided, our ability to consider you as a candidate may be limited. You may also provide us with your personal data that we have not specifically requested (for example, your CV may contain data about your hobbies and social preferences). All data is provided on a voluntarily basis and you determine the extent of data that you provide to us.

We collect a range of data about you. This includes:Personal details such as name, surname, sex, age including information about your religion

  • Personal ID card, passport
  • House Registration
  • Contact details including email address and telephone number
  • Background information– such as your educational background including degrees, certificates, transcripts, credit history and/or criminal background screenings
  • Information from interviews and phone-screenings you may have
  • Information about your current level of remuneration, including benefit entitlements
  • Any other information in your application that you choose to share with us such as personal preferences, hobbies, social preferences, etc.

We may collect this data in a variety of ways. For example, data might be contained in application forms or CVs (including when these are sent to us as part of speculative applications or queries), obtained from your personal ID card, passport or other identity documents, or collected through interviews or other methods of assessment.

 

We will use your personal data with a view to creating a contractual relationship with you for the following purposes:

  • Recruitment, selection, evaluation and appointment of job candidates (temporary or permanent) for the job you have applied for and for subsequent job opportunities.
  • Application analysis such as verification of your employment references that you have provided, background checks and related assessments.
  • Communicate with you and to inform you of current status of your application and future opportunities.

Your data is shared with only those staff within Human Resource department and relevant department you apply for who need access to deliver and support the purposes described above.

As a principle, data about you will not be kept for longer than it is needed for the purpose it was collected.

If your application for employment is unsuccessful (including when you have speculatively applied to us in respect of a role which is not available), your data will be deleted or destroyed (unless we need to retain it for longer to exercise or defend any legal claims).

If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your Personnel File (P-File) and retained during your employment plus 6 years following the end of your employment. The periods for which employee data is held will be provided to you in a separate privacy notice.
